Ipsy May 2019
Hi guys todays post is a review of Mays subscription boxes that I received, this one is Ipsy Glam Bag and it is 10 dollars a month and gives you 4 -5 sample size products a month and a makeup bag. Here is a description of what I got and what I think of the products this month. Also, I need to make a disclaimer I have paid for these bags with my own money.
OFRA COSMETICS
Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Versailles
Made with nourishing vitamin A, this richly-pigmented lip color hydrates and protects your lips each time you apply. it’s smudge-proof and transfer-proof, it wears on and on. Plus, it doesn't pull moisture from your lips like some long-wear colors. Metallics and rose gold are on-trend right now, so Versailles is totally on point for the season.
So, my thoughts on this liquid lip, I feel this is a good lipstick it lasted quite a while, it didn’t dry my lips out, I am a fan of liquid lipsticks because they don’t budge and move and most of the time do not need to be reapplied. The color was a pleasant surprise as well. I didn’t think I was going to like it at first but it was actually quite flattering. This product gets a 10 out of 10 from me.
NATURE'S CARTEL
Multi-Purpose Stick in GlowBal Awakening #1
this versatile color stick can be used as a highlighter, eyeshadow, and lip color. Even if you’re a powder highlighter devotee, you’ve got to give this creamy, pigment-packed formula a try. It’s a dream to apply on-the-go—swipe it on right from the stick and it blends out so easily. Whether you want a subtle highlight to illuminate your naturally beautiful features or a show-stopping sheen for night, this buildable formula will do the trick, and it won’t grease up your skin when you layer it on. GlowBal Awakening #1 looks pinkish but it has a beautiful, golden sheen when applied.
So, this product isn’t a bad product but just not for me, I am not a fan of cream products, with the exception of foundations and concealers. I could not get this product to work for me. When I would try to use it, it seemed to take off the makeup underneath, this could be user error though. I do not claim to be a pro. The color is pretty and I do like the color when swatched but applied to my face I cannot get it to apply without disrupting the makeup under. This is a 6 out of 10 for me.
PIXI BY PETRA
Endless Silky Eye Pen in BlackNoir
Simple streaks, sharp wings, dots, dramatic lines—whatever you’re going for, this inky black, gel-textured eyeliner gives you great control over how you want to wear it. Whether you’re clocking in long hours at the office or on the dance floor, this waterproof, smudge-proof, long-wearing eyeliner will last without running or fading.
I LOVE this eyeliner; it is so creamy glides so smoothly. I am a liner and mascara and love a really great liner and this definitely does it for me. Its very black and once set it doesn’t move. This gets a 10 out of 10 for me.
KALEIDO COSMETICS
Skin Blush in Primadonna
This buildable blush formula is great for adding a dose of warmth to your complexion, whether you’re looking for a subtle flush, or a full-on glow-up (and everything in between). Made wholly out of plant-based ingredients, it’s 100 percent cruelty-free, vegan, talc-free, phthalate-free, and paraben-free. Primadonna is a shimmery, rosy pink color that adds radiance to any skin tone.
This was a very subtle blush for my complexation, it didn’t show up very well. But I am sure it will look great on a lighter complexation. I am also not a fan of pinkish blushes I gravitate to peachier golden blush. So this gets a 8 out of 10 it’s a good blush just not my vibe.
INNISFREE
Pore Clearing Clay Mask with Super Volcanic Clusters
INNISFREE sources the finest, most natural ingredients from Jeju Island in Korea, including the volcanic clusters infused into this mask. Those Jeju Volcanic Clusters™ help draw excess oils and impurities from your pores. It’s also made with finely-ground walnut shell powder and alpha hydroxy acids to help slough away dead skin cells.
This mask is ok I didn’t see a miracle but it was nice, I don’t feel the sample was big enough to really get a good taste of what it could do. Since there was only like 3 uses in it. But I do like the feel of it and it did clear my pores. So, 8 out of 10 for me just because I feel it need to be a larger sample to really get a feel for the product.
Thanks for reading today, what did you get? Did you get similar to what I got? And do you love it?
