Hi guys todays post is a review of one of my subscription boxes that I receive, this one is called Boxycharm and it is 22 dollars a month and gives you 4 -5 full size products a month. Usually the end total is over $100 value. So, it’s worth the subscription price. This is the box for April and what I got in my box.
STARLOOKS - ULTRA-GEM LONG WEAR EYE PENCIL -19.00
The intensely pigmented formula in your new Starlooks Cosmic Ultra-Gem Long Wear Eye Pencil delivers a beautiful color that lasts all day. The easy to extend and retract pen makes application and continuous use seamlessly easy, without ever having to use a pencil sharpener.
*Ok I will start with my least favorite item in this month’s box, and it’s not because this was a bad pencil because it was a great formula. The reason I didn’t care for this was because of the color, I got this in cosmic. Which is a purple silver color. I really can’t think of reason or place that I could wear this. But otherwise I did like the formula. I would probably not pay the price for this as is.
BUTTER LONDON - POWER UP MASCARA- $20.00
experience length, definition and curl retention with Butter London’s Power Up Mascara featuring all-day wear. With the first swipe, a unique oil-free blend of nourishing waxes instantly produces noticeably longer and more defined lashes. A second swipe adds thickness and volume without clumping. The soft and creamy formula is infused with hydrating jojoba extract and water-resistant polymers to reduce smudging and flaking for a full 8-hour day.
*Ok my second least favorite product in the box was this mascara, I love mascaras however this one on its own, I felt was a very thick formula and clumped my lashes terribly, I can make it work by using this and then going over it with another mascara to un-clump my lashes. So, I can make this work, not sure if I got a bad one or if this is the way it is always. would I buy this again for me the answer will have to be no.
ARTIST COUTURE - DIAMOND GLOW POWDER-$27.00
This all-natural, vegan, and cruelty free loose Powder highlight can be used on the eyes, lips, face and body. The versatile formula is highly pigmented and suitable for all skin tones! Create a subtle luminous finish or layer on for an unreal glow!
*Now we are getting into the stuff I really liked, ok one bad thing about this is that it is a loose powder and so it can be kinda messy and a lot can be applied without really trying to. But when using a light hand this make for a beautiful glow, I got mine in a peachy shade called summer haze. It’s a beautiful color and works well with my skin tone. Would I buy this again? I would have to consider it because I like pressed highlighters better but that’s just my preference.
LUXIE - THE SUMMER DAZE 3PC BRUSH SET-$28.00
The Luxie Summer Daze 3-piece brush set was curated for the perfect festival look that will last all day. Use the Luxie 512 Small Contouring brush to sculpt and define your cheekbones while the Luxie 245 Small Shader brush is perfect to pat on your base shadow and glitter. Grab the Luxie 209 Large Shader brush to pat on and blend out any eye look.
*ok I’m not going to lie I am a huge fan of makeup brushes. I get very excited when I receive them in any of my boxes. So, I was not disappointed when I received these, I do feel the price is kinda high for just 3 brushes but I have never been disappointed by any luxie brushes I have received. Would I buy these on my own? They are great brushes but they are on the small side so I probably wouldn’t buy these. But I am glad I got them in my box.
PUR THE COMPLEXION AUTHORITY - FESTIVAL PALETTE- $36.00
Unleash the ultimate festival vibes with this limited-edition, 12-piece pressed pigment palette that’s complete with bold, imaginative pigments that elevate your look for any occasion. From boho inspired metallic s to eye-catching glitters, each cruelty-free shade is infused with skin-loving ingredients.
*ok so this was one of the main reasons I signed up for boxycharm in the first place, I wanted to expand my makeup collection, especially in the palette area, and so far, I have not been disappointed at all. I have been a member since March 2019 so not very long but I have already gotten a face palette that is amazing and then this eyeshadow palette. I LOVE this palette, my only problem with this palette is the pressed glitters, they go everywhere but that really could just be my inexperience with makeup and not knowing how to apply them correctly. But this is by far my favorite item in this month’s box.
Thanks for stopping by hopefully this was helpful and see you next time for another review. This month’s total was $130 value which for $22 isn’t to shabby.
Thanks to the boxy charm website for the description and prices of the items I got.
